Flair Showcase printed every player three times. Each of its 90 cards came in three rows, each with a different picture: Row 2, called Style, the most common; Row 1, Grace; and Row 0, Showcase, the scarcest. For Kobe Bryant's group of cards, a Row 0 turned up about once in ten packs.
Three rows, three pictures. Row 0 was the one that came once in ten packs.
This is Kobe's Row 0, #31. The set was glossy and sold only through hobby shops, built around rainbow foil, more than one image of the player and flowing type.
On the Row 0 card Kobe appears twice over a glittering foil ground: behind, a figure in Lakers purple driving with the ball; in front, close up and smiling, his face, with KOBE BRYANT, LOS ANGELES LAKERS, GUARD along the bottom.
Each row also has a Legacy Collection parallel, numbered to 150 and marked by teal foil type on the front, so a Kobe Legacy exists in Row 0, Row 1 and Row 2.
Where the Topps and the Chrome are one picture shared, the Flair Showcase offers three, and this is the row that was hardest to pull.
