Mike Trout's 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft autograph, #BDPP89, came out in late December 2009, the year the Angels drafted him.

They took him twenty-fifth that June, with a pick that came to them from the Yankees for the signing of Mark Teixeira, and he signed on July 2. In the Bowman Draft product the Chrome prospect autographs ran from #BDPP76 to #BDPP97, extending the prospect numbering, and they exist only in this form: there is no paper version and no unsigned one. The base autograph fell about once in 34 hobby packs and carries no serial number.

Signed or nothing: there is no other version of this card.

He is in a red Angels top and a red batting helmet, in his stance with the bat held high, a ballpark behind him. The 1st Bowman Chrome Card logo sits at the left, the Angels' halo at the right, and his signature runs in blue across a white panel above MIKE TROUT on a blue bar. Certified Autograph Issue is stamped faintly in the corner.

Above it came Refractors to 500, X-Fractors, Blue, Gold, Orange and Red, and a SuperFractor of one.

It is not his official rookie card. That came in 2011, after his debut on July 8, at nineteen.
